American Digital University and the Center for Vocational and Technical Training (Haiti Tec) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to jointly offer online and distance learning technical courses and certification programs for students from Haiti Tec and throughout Haiti.

The purpose of the collaboration is to encourage and develop a cooperative relationship between the two institutions, including the offering of technical e-learning courses and certification programs as well as the development of special projects that will benefit both institutions and the country.

American Digital University will partner with the Haiti Community College Partnership and Haiti Tec to make its most relevant online courses available to the citizens of Haiti at a nominal cost to the students. Under this partnership students will have access to a wide range of online courses in areas such as office skills, information technology, nursing and health care, and other vocational or employment skills, leading to certifications offered through this partnership.

The teaching of students across the country through e-learning programs, the development and/or adaptation of curricula based on the Haitian market, the development of additional training programs in response to market demand (e.g., construction and entrepreneurship courses) and creation of innovative alliances and initiatives that bring information and communication technologies to Haiti are among the activities that both institutions will develop collaboratively.

ADU will work closely with Haiti Tec to partner with multiple entities to supplement the online training with hands-on experience for the courses offered. Haiti Tec will invite additional institutions to participate in this partnership.
